BERLIN - German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said Monday that he did not apprehend the closure case filed against Justice & Development (AK) Party.
Releasing a written statement on the issue, Steinmeier said he confided in the independence of Turkish Constitutional Court and he believed such demand would be rejected rapidly.
Steinmeier said the government should ensure political stability in Turkey and carry on with the reform process despite this case.
He also said the economic progress in the country and Turkey`s getting closer to EU should continue in a determined way.
