Constituional Court Is Authorized To Say Final Word On Closure Case, Supreme Court Chief Judge

ANKARA - Hasan Gerceker, chief judge of the Supreme Court of Appeals said Monday that Chief Public Prosecutor had filed a lawsuit with his own initiative for the closure of Justice and Development (AK) Party under the authority, duty and responsibility given to him by the laws and the Constitution.
Issuing a press release on the issue, Gerceker recalled that Constitutional Court was authorised to say the final word on the issue.
Gerceker said every individual and institution had the right to make criticism provided that they don`t violate the law or insult others.
"People should not force the boundaries of criticism," said Gerceker.
Gerceker underlined that it was the duty of the press and the media to inform the society without violating legal or ethical boundaries. He said they expected all media to show the necessary care.
