Opposition Leader Pays Visit To Austrian Ambassador In Ankara

ANKARA - Chairman of the Grand Unity Party (BBP) Muhsin Yazicioglu met Austrian Ambassador to Turkey Heide Maria Gurer in Ankara on Monday.
Sources said Yazicioglu and Gurer discussed Turkey-EU relations during their meeting.
Responding to questions about the closure case filed against the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party before the meeting, Yazicioglu said the Constitutional Court should reject in the first place to see to the case filed by the chief prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals on Friday.
"Closing political parties had done no good in the past. The Constitutional Court should deliver a ruling which would strengthen the democratic system and Turkey`s image," Yazicioglu told reporters.
