State Minister Simsek In New York To Attend " Turkey After 2008" Conference

NEW YORK - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek arrived in New York on Monday to take the floor at "Turkey After 2008" conference.
The conference is organized by the Turkish-American Business Council operating under the umbrella of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).
Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu, Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz and Turkish-American Business Council Chairman Ferit Sahenk are also expected to take the floor at the conference in New York.
Simsek will take the floor in Harvard University Kennedy School and deliver a speech on recent economic developments in Turkey and in the world on March 19th.
Simsek is scheduled to meet IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn on March 20th.
Simsek will also meet international entrepreneurs and business circles in New York and Boston before returning to Turkey on March 21st.
