N. Cyprus: Main Opposition Submits Censure Motion For CTP-DP Coalition Government

LEFKOSA - Main Opposition National Unity Party (UBP) of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Wednesday tabled a censure motion to unseat CTP-DP (Republican Turkish Party- CTP; and Democrat Party -DP) coalition government.
UBP`s censure motion was read out in the parliament.
Under the Constitution, negotiations on the censure motion will be held after two sessions.
Meanwhile, TRNC parliament unanimously accepted to discuss urgently a proposal by CTP to hold early elections on September 26, 2004.
The proposal will be voted in the parliament after being taken up in a sub- committee.
