ANKARA - ``We have not received any information about the alleged clashes between Iranian security forces and members of the terrorist organization of PKK/Kongra-Gel,`` said Wednesday Namik Tan, spokesman for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Speaking at a weekly press conference, Tan told reporters that they had not received any information about the alleged clashes.
Recalling that Turkey-Iran Joint Security Committee was scheduled to convene in Ankara next week, prior to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan`s planned visit to Iran, Tan said, ``we expect Iranian officials to give detailed information during the meeting about these clashes and their efforts in fight against terrorism.``
Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Ali Asger Ahmedi said earlier that the latest clash between Iranian security forces and members of the PKK/Kongra-Gel erupted about nine days ago. He noted that two Iranian security officials and 8 members of the terrorist organization died in the clashes.
