ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen and a crowded delegation of Turkish businessmen will travel to India on Monday.
Over 100 Turkish businessmen, most of whom are contractors, and Tuzmen will hold talks in New Delhi and Mumbai in India which is seen as the most important country for Turkey to open up to Asia-Pacific trade.
Tuzmen is scheduled to meet Indian Commerce & Industry Minister Kamal Nath, State Minister for Industry Ashwani Kumar, Minister of Road Transport, Shipping & Highways T.R. Baalu and Minister of State for Urban Employment & Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja.
Tuzmen will also have meetings with Indian businessmen eager to do business in Turkey, as well as leading names of Indian media.
Turkish-Indian Business Forums will be held in Mumbai and new Delhi to meet Turkish and Indian businessmen.
Trade volume between Turkey and India was 2.6 billion USD last year. Turkey imported 2.3 billion USD of goods and services from India.
Tuzmen and Turkish delegation will depart from India on March 22nd.
