Ministers On Closure Case Against Ak Party

ISTANBUL - Turkish Industry & Trade Minister Zafer Caglayan said Saturday the nation is the ruler.
"Only the nations can close the political parties they founded," Caglayan said when commenting on the closure case of the ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party.
During the Second Regular General Assembly of Turkish Businessmen`s & Industrialists` Confederation (TUSKON) in Istanbul, Caglayan said Friday`s intervention was not only an intervention in political authority but also an intervention in economy, stability, production, export and investment.
On the other hand, Public Works & Housing Minister Faruk Ozak said the remarks of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of Turkish Republic, that "sovereignty unconditionally belongs to nation" writes on walls of the parliament.
"We will protect it. We are the real Kemalists," he told.
