Ak Party Has Been Focal Point Of Only Services For Six Years, Sahin

ANTALYA - Turkish Justice Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said Saturday the Justice & Development (AK) Party has been the focal point of only services for six years.
"It has been the focal point of patriotism and nationalism, and it has advocated for democracy and republic for six years," he told reporters in Mediterranean province of Antalya when commenting on the closure case filed against their party.
Sahin said this case will begin a new era in Turkey.
"This era will be one which will save political parties from being the focal point of anti-democratic implementations in Turkey, and it will save Turkey from being the cemetery of political parties," he told.
Sahin said AK Party has overcome all threats. "It will also overcome this one, and become stronger in the end."

-VOTES OVER 50-
"When we were ahead of July 22nd (general) elections, we experienced a constitutional process and AK Party became the winner of the elections by gaining 47 percent of votes. Now, there is a lawsuit at the Constitutional Court and we are ahead of local elections," he told.
Sahin said, "we will win over 50 percent of votes in this (local) elections."
On the other hand, Sahin said Turkey will ensure full democracy.
"It will become a country in which fundamental rights and freedoms are enjoyed in the widest sense like in contemporary countries. All these (developments) will speed this process up," he also said.
