AMSTERDAM - Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Murat Basesgioglu arrived in the Dutch capital of Amsterdam on Tuesday to attend two meetings.
At the airport, Basesgioglu told reporters that he would inform participants about amendments made to regulations on working life in Turkey and progress recorded so far in the meeting to be held in Rotterdam on ''accession and integration.''
Basesgioglu said that participation of women in working life and social life would especially be discussed at this meeting.
Turkey decided to join social security policies set by the European Union (EU) as a common target for 2010, Basesgioglu stated.
Basesgioglu said that modernization of social security systems, improvement of social adaptation, and fighting against corruption would be discussed in the ministerial meeting to be held in Maastrict between July 8th and 10th.
Results of both meetings would shed light to efforts initiated by his ministry, Basesgioglu pointed out.
Basesgioglu is expected to return to Turkey on Sunday.
