ANKARA - Global Yatirim Energaz offered on Friday 1.61 billion USD, the highest bid for privatization of Turkish capital Ankara`s natural gas grid.
Six consortiums and companies were competing in the auction held by Ankara Municipality.
Akfen Holding, Calik Enerji, Gaznaturel-Nural, Limak and Elektromed were the other bidders in the auction.
Global Yatirim Energaz will be called to sign a contract following the approval of Ankara Mayor Melih Gokcek and consent of Competition Board and Energy Market Regulation Authority.
