Counter Terrorism Higher Board Meeting

PARTICIPANTS AFFIRM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION RECEIVED HEAVY BLOW IN RECENT GROUND OPERATION

ANKARA - The Counter Terrorism Higher Board meeting held on Friday focused on the present Turkish struggle against terror and steps to be taken in the near future against terrorists.
The participants of today`s meeting affirmed that terrorist organization received a heavy blow in the recent ground operation that was launched in north of Iraq.
"The ground operation caused great losses in the terrorist organization and caused fear and panic," said a written press release after Friday`s meeting of the Counter Terrorism Higher Board.
"We appreciate Turkish security forces` efforts implemented under tough weather conditions. We went over legal, administrative, economic, diplomatic and social measures to be taken in the fight against terror," told the press release.
"We will continue the fight against terror in order to preserve national unity and solidarity and protect peace and confidence in Turkey," concluded the press release.
