DAKAR - Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the SG of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), said on Thursday there is need for a sound cooperation to solve problems of Islamic world.
Taking the floor in OIC Summit in Dakar, Ihsanoglu said significant steps must be taken in regard to global developments.
Ihsanoglu said he hoped that a new period would start regarding the Cyprus issue after the election in the Greek Cypriot administration and the UN would continue its efforts on the matter.
Kosovan people declared their independence after a long and challenging process, Ihsanoglu said. He also expressed OIC's support to Kosovan people.
