ANKARA - Bahraini Minister of Industry Hasan Abdallah al-Fakhru visited on Tuesday the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
In the meeting, TOBB Deputy Chairman Faik Yavuz complained about low trade volume between two countries, and said that the agreement on the promotion of investments should be put into practice in order to increase bilateral investments.
Yavuz said that Turkey and Bahrain could cooperate in areas like contracting, banking, tourism, free zones, electronics, food, construction materials, iron-steel, cement, furniture, durable consumption goods, leather, textile, ready-to-wear and medicine.
Turkey wanted to push into high-quality Turkish products to the Bahraini market, Yavuz added.
Al-Fakhru on the other hand said that Turkey and Bahrain should further improve their cooperation, adding that Bahrain has necessary infrastructure and trained labor force which were important for foreign investments.
