Parliamentary Commission Spokesman To Attend Brussels Forum

ANKARA - Suat Kiniklioglu, spokesman for the Turkish Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission, will deliver a speech at "Brussels Forum 2008" to be held in Belgian capital between March 14th and 16th.
The theme will be "Turkey, the Kurds, and the Middle East".
EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn will also deliver a speech on the same issue.
Kiniklioglu said Turkey's cross-border operation to the north of Iraq, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's visit to Turkey and Turkey's role in the Middle East will be debated at the meeting.
New global threats, the U.S. presidential elections, future of Balkans and proclamation of Kosovo's independence, climate change, globalization, energy security, civilian freedoms and the global role to be played by Middle Eastern countries and Russia will also be discussed at the forum.

"Brussels Forum" is an annual high-level meeting of the most influential American and European political, corporate, and intellectual leaders to address pressing challenges currently affecting both rives of the Atlantic.
Participants include heads of state, senior officials from the European Union institutions and the member states, U.S. officials, Congressional representatives, Parliamentarians, academics and media representatives.
