It Is Not Possible To Accept Social Security Reform, Labor Platform

ANKARA - Labor Platform of Turkey said Thursday it is not possible to accept the social security reform as it changes the current rights and laws against the workers.
"The bill which makes radical changes in retirement and health areas is against the principle of social state," the Labor Platform said after their meeting at the Confederation of Turkish Labor Unions (Turk-Is) HQ in Ankara.
It said, "the draft does not ensure a norm and standard union among workers -- as claimed, on the contrary it deepens differences."
The bill gradually raises the retirement age of women and men to 65 (actually 58 and 60, respectively) and the number of days they have to work from 7,000 to 9,000 to retire.
