ANKARA - Turkish Treasury held on Tuesday an auction to sell 217-day bonds and 518-day state notes.
In the 217-day auction, the total bid had been 2.4 quadrillion Turkish liras (TL) while the Treasury sold 1.7 quadrillion TL of nominal-valued bonds. The net sale had been 1.5 quadrillion TL.
The interest rate in this first auction was 25.35 percent, while the composite interest reached 26.62 percent.
In the 518-day discounted state note auction, the total bid had been 5.5 quadrillion TL while the Treasury sold 2.8 quadrillion TL of nominal-valued state notes. The net sale was 2.4 quadrillion TL.
The interest rate was 27.42 percent while the composite interest reached 26.05 percent in this state note auction.
Both 217-day bonds and the 518-day discounted state notes will be issued on July 7, 2004. The 217-day bonds will be repaid on February 9, 2005 while the maturity of the state notes will be December 7, 2005.
Turkish Treasury will repay 7.2 quadrillion TL of domestic debt this week.
