ANKARA - Preparations are underway in State Opera & Ballet in Ankara to put on the stage the "Murat IV " opera, depicting that period of the Ottoman Empire.
Workshops are trying to prepare costumes and accessories for the opera to bring majesty of the Sultan Murat period to the stage.
Turan Oflazoglu wrote the libretto and Okan Demiris ornates the work with his musics.
Bulent Atesoglu, Tuncay Kurtoglu, Nilgun Akkerman, Golge Sekeranber, Tuncer Tercan, Serhat Konukman, Ihsan Ekber, Aykut Cynar and Unusan Kuloglu will take part in the performance, the gala of which is scheduled for March 22nd.
6 costumes are being prepared for the artist that will assume the role of Sultan Murat and 150 others for the dynastic family, palace officials and the janissary.
