ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Wednesday that Turkey is one of the countries which recorded utmost progress as regards competitiveness. He added that Turkey is among the countries (except developing countries in Asia) which increased their export figures most during 2001-2007 period.
Simsek held a joint press conference with State Minister & Deputy Premier Nazim Ekren and Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan in Ankara.
Minister Simsek also said that reforms in energy sector continues and social security reform is under way.
Noting that search and development reform law was already adopted, Simsek said that the employment package is about to be finalized. He added, "we have set the frame of all reforms which will increase Turkey`s competitiveness."
