ANKARA - Turkish MFA expressed uneasiness over the statements of Israeli officials who announced 750 new apartments would be constructed in Givat Zeev settlement in the north of eastern Jerusalem.
Releasing a statement on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry said that the decision is an infringement of Israel`s obligations vis a vis international laws. The Ministry stressed that the decision could cause a new tension between the parties, and harm Annapolis process.
"Such unilateral initiatives strengthen anti-pacifists` and extremists` hand," noted the statement, and stressed that Israel`s complying with its responsibilities is vital for the peace efforts.
