Talat & Christofias Meeting Arouses Expectations

LEFKOSA - Turkish Cypriot side has high expectations from the meeting which will be held between President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias on March 21st.
Turkish party --which attaches utmost importance to the first meeting between the two leaders-- will try to have datum that will be useful for future period.
On Tuesday's briefing, TRNC Presidency spokesman Hasan Ercakica had said, "through the meeting, we will try to understand whether the change of Greek Cypriot leadership will mean a change in their political stance or not; whether new Greek Cypriot leadership will take up July 8th process as a process aiming to delay settlement (like Tassos Papadopoulos did) or not; and also we will try to understand what kind of solution will the new Greek Cypriot leadership search. These datum will show the future course of Cyprus problem."
