Terrorism Will Be Used By More Groups In Future, Perl

ANKARA - Raphael Perl, head of the "Action Against Terrorism Unit" of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), said Tuesday terrorism would be used by more groups and for more reasons in the future.
Perl delivered a speech at a symposium titled "Global Terrorism and International Cooperation-II" organized by the Command of Center of Excellence Defense Against Terrorism in capital Ankara.
During his speech, Perl said Europe had become a target of terrorism recently, and terrorists could immensely harm the economic and technological infrastructure nowadays.
He said OSCE had an important role in the fight against terrorism and the organization aimed at the elimination of the conditions giving rise to terrorism.
Moreover, Perl noted that measures should be taken in order not to let radicalism and extremism turn into terrorism.
He expressed the growing importance of international cooperation in the fight against terrorism as well.
