Demonstration To Condemn Terror In Batman

BATMAN - People in Gercus and Hasankeyf towns of southeastern Batman province held a demonstration to condemn terror and terrorist organization PKK on Friday.
Another demonstration was also held in Cinar and Egil townships in southeastern Diyarbakir province today to protest terrorist PKK/Kongra-Gel organization.
Nearly one thousand people gathered in Hasankeyf township and protested attempts to destroy tranquility of the township.
Hasankeyf Kemalist Thought Association Chairman Ahmet Akdeniz made a statement stressing that they would not allow any attempt to disrupt peaceful environment and tranquility in the region. Akdeniz added that no one could destroy peace and order.
People in Gercus town also held a demonstration to protest terrorism chanting slogans.
On the other hand Turkish Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu who attended a ceremony in central Corum province, stressed that they would not allow any attempt to impair peace and tranquility prevailing in Turkey.
