OIC SG Ihsanoglu On Islamic Summit In Senegal

DAKAR - Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said Monday that some circles saw insulting Islam as a freedom of opinion.
It is impossible to comprehend such a distorted understanding, he said.
Ihsanoglu, who is currently in Senegalese capital of Dakar, commented on the upcoming OIC Summit to be held in the city, while replying to questions of Turkish journalists.
Upon a question, Ihsanoglu said "Islamaphobia" would be on the agenda of the summit and a report prepared on this issue would be given its final shape during the meeting.
Ihsanoglu said Islamic countries would reiterate their clear stance on the issue during the summit.
Commenting on Cyprus issue as well, Ihsanoglu said OIC tried to explain the situation in Cyprus in every platform.
OIC SG also said that his greatest expectation from the summit was the adoption of the 10-year action plan.
