Turkey's TMSF To Sell Media Organs That Belong To Aksoy Group

ANKARA - The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) of Turkey will sell the media companies that belong to Erol Aksoy Group.
According to a notice published in Monday`s Official Gazette, the fund will sell rights and assets of Aksoy`s TV channels including Cine 5, Supersport, Gala TV, Viva TV and radio stations such as Radyo Tek, Radyo 5, Radyo Cool, Radyo Nostalji, Show Radyo, and Viva Radyo.
The fund will collect the final bids on March 21st, 2008.
Accordingly, the Cine 5 TV and Radyo 5 commercial and economic group will have an estimated value of 80 million USD, whereas the estimated value of Supersport TV will be 500,000 USD and that of Show Radio will be 15 million USD.
The Radyo Nostalji will have an estimated value of 200,000 USD, Radyo Tek`s estimated value will be 25,000 USD and that of Radyo Cool and Gala TV will be 500,000 USD.
The auction for Cine 5 TV, Radyo 5, Viva TV and Viva Radyo will take place on March 24th, while Supersport, Show Radyo and Radyo Nostalji will be auctioned on March 25th.
The auction for Radyo Tek, Radyo Cool and Gala TV will be on March 26th.
The auctions will be finalized after approval of the TMSF Board.
