Karademir Ranked 2nd At 2008 Aegon Challenge Cup

ANKARA - Turkish national skater Tugba Karademir was ranked the 2nd at the "Senior Ladies" category of the "2008 Aegon Challenge Cup" held in Dutch city of the Hague.
With this degree, Karademir won her first medal at this category in an international competition.
Karademir will also compete at the "ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2008" to be held in Swedish city of Goteborg between March 18th and 23rd.

Tugba Karademir started skating at the age of 5, with her kindergarden class, right after the first ice rink opened in Turkey in 1990. At the age of 8, she competed for the first time internationally for Turkey. In 1995, she won a gold medal at a novice competition at the Balkan Games and a silver medal in the Netherlands.
At the 2006 European Figure Skating Championships, Karademir was ranked the 13th. She later on became the first figure skater from Turkey to compete in the Olympic Winter Games. Moreover, she was ranked 18th at the 2006 World Figure Skating Championships held in Calgary, Canada.
