ANKARA - International Symposium on "Global Terrorism and International Cooperation II", organized by Centre of Excellence Defense Against Terrorism (TMMM), will be inaugurated in capital Ankara on Monday.
Turkish General Staff Chief Yasar Buyukanit will deliver the opening speech of the symposium to be held at Ankara's Bilkent Hotel.
Some of the issues to be assessed during the two-day symposium are "regional and national concepts, doctrine and methods for defense against terrorism", "the challenges faced by organisations involved in defense against terrorism and methods of overcoming them", "socio-psychological dimensions of terrorism", "the role of international and regional organizations in defense against terrorism" and "legal aspects of international defense against terrorism".
The symposium will be closed on March 11th, with a speech to be delivered by Gen. Ergin Saygun, Deputy Chief of Turkish General Staff.
