ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - Turkish Champions Fenerbahce have signed Brazilian Fabiano Lima Rodriguez on a 1-year loan from Sao Paulo, the official Fenerbahçe web site reports on Thursday.
The Brazilian full-back played for Italian club Perugia during the 2003-2004 season.
Fenerbahce Vice Chairman and Foreign Affairs Director Hakan Bilal Kutlualp finalized the loan agreement for the 25-year old player. Fenerbahce will also have the first option to buy Rodriguez.
Fenerbahçe, aka the `Yellow Canaries`, reached a deal on a 3-year contract with the Brazilian star playmaker Alex De Souza in early June.
Rodriguez will become the 5th Brazilian player in the Fenerbahce squad. The Yellow Canaries already have one Brazilian defender, two midfielders and one forward.
The Yellow Canaries have already signed Turkish midfielder Serkan Balci and defender Deniz Barýs from Genclerbirligi, Onder Turacý from Standard Liege and pacy winger Murat Hacioglu from Diyarbakirspor.
Rodriguez is due to arrive in Turkey today and will attend the Fenerbahçe training camps for next season.
