Women's Taking Active Role In Decision-making Mechanisms Will Also Boost World Peace, Cubukcu

ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Nimet Cubukcu said on Saturday women`s taking active role in the decision-making mechanisms would also contribute to the world peace.
Taking the floor in a session of "the 4th International Women`s Convention in Local Administrations" in Ankara, Cubukcu said, "negative prejudices and traditions make negative impacts on women`s taking part in politics."
Cubukcu said, "we are exerting great efforts to lift invisible walls. There is need for a mentality change. The number of women in local administrations should be increased."
