ANKARA - Turkish Deniz Feneri Association sent foodstuffs and medical equipment worth of 75,000 USD to Palestine.
Association`s Secretary General Ibrahim Altan told AA on Friday that they have initiated an aid campaign for people of Palestine after Israel`s attacks.
Altan noted that they have sent 30,000 USD at first hand and then 45,000 USD to people in Gaza within this week. He added that the money was spent on food and medical equipment.
Aid campaigns are under way, Altan said and added they will send humanitarian aid to Gaza in coming days too.
Meanwhile, Deniz Feneri Association set up a Trauma Center (by spending 600,000 USD) in Gaza in 2007; the center is still serving people in the region.
A total of 132,840 people benefited from Trauma Center between February 2007 and February 2008.
