Teachers' Union Decides To Protect Baby Owls

BINGOL - Teachers' Union decided to protect two baby owls which hunters found in Genc township in southeastern Bingol province.
The owls, one of them male and the other female, are fed in natural environment. They one kilo of meat per day.
Remzi Artan, an official of Teachers' Union, said they even built a nest for the baby owls. Artan said, ''in the mornings we bring them to the garden but they prefer to be in shadow.''
He added that the owls were not afraid of people and do not eat anything except meat.
Artan said the baby owls could not fly right now, but made clear that they will free them when they will be able to do so.
