U.S. Says Never Negotiated With PKK And Never Will

WASHINGTON D.C. - White House Spokesperson Dana Perino said Thursday the United States has never negotiated with the terrorist organization PKK and never will. Perino said they do not expect Turkey to do so.
"We have encouraged dialogue and coordination between the United States, Turkey and Iraq. But we have not and we will not negotiate or hold talks with the PKK, nor do we expect Turkey to do so," Perino told reporters.
Reaffirming that the PKK is a common enemy of Turkey, Iraq and the United States, Perino said, "we have been strongly supporting Turkey in its efforts to combat the PKK."
Perino`s statement came after statements (regarding dialogue and talks with the PKK) by two high-level U.S. military officials over the past two days.
Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, the former No. 2 military commander in Iraq, told a press conference on Tuesday that pressure must be put on terrorist organization PKK to force them to sit down at negotiation table.
On Wednesday, U.S. Admiral William Fallon, commander of CENTCOM, claimed that a kind of compromise should be reached with the terrorist organization for a real solution to PKK problem.
