BERLIN - German tour company Touristic Union International (TUI) is planning to bring 2 million tourists to Turkey in 2008, company head said Thursday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of 42nd International Travel and Tourism Bourse (ITB) in Berlin, TUI Chairman Michael Frenzel said his company currently had the management of 20 hotels in Turkey, adding that Turkish tourism sector had achieved a great success in the world.
"Turkey is our second biggest destination behind Spain and we believe in Turkey`s tourism potential, and this year we will bring 2 million European tourists to the country," Frenzel said.
