ANKARA - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani is set to arrive in Turkey for a two-day visit Friday upon invitation of his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, Presidential press office said Thursday.
Gul and Talabani will seek ways to improve Turkish-Iraqi cooperation in political, economic, commercial, cultural, military, energy and other areas.
Talabani will be accompanied by Iraqi Finance Minister Baqir Jabir Al-Zubaydi, Oil Minister Hessian Al-Shahristany, Water Resources Minister Abdullatif Rashid Latif, National Security Minister Shirwan Al-Waily and Industry Minister Fawzi Al-Hariri.
Talabani will attend separate dinners to be given in his honor by President Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Iraqi president is also scheduled to meet members of the Turkish-Iraqi Business Council.
