VIENNA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Serdar Denktas invited Austrian businessmen and bankers to invest in the TRNC at a meeting in Vienna late on Tuesday.
Speaking at the special meeting which was close to press, Denktas stressed that Turkish Cypriots had done their best for resolution of the Cyprus issue, adding, ''do not expect us to make more self-sacrifices. Now it is your turn.''
Austrian diplomats, politicians, bankers, columnists and businessmen attended the meeting which was hosted by Turkish businessman Hasan Teoman.
Speaking to the A.A correspondent after the meeting, Teoman said that they had organized the meeting as Association of Johns Hopkins University and they aimed to explain the Cyprus issue to Austrian diplomats, politicians and business circles from the Turkish Cypriot perspective.
Meanwhile, Denktas who will continue holding meetings in Vienna on Wednesday is expected to depart from Austria after making statements to Austrian state-run television ORF and columnists of several newspapers.
