DIYARBAKIR - Henrik Hoegh, the head of a delegation of Danish parliamentarians, said Wednesday they see PKK as a criminal organization.
"We will hold talks in Istanbul tomorrow, following our meetings in Ankara and Diyarbakir," he told Mayor Osman Baydemir of southeastern province of Diyarbakir.
Hoegh said they want to take a full picture of Turkey and want to learn how the regional people are affected by Turkey's EU membership bid and the social and economic conditions in this region.
"As far as we are concerned, there is a security problem in the region due to PKK. We see PKK as a criminal organization and we want to receive information from you about the recent situation and human rights in the region," he told.
The delegation from the European Affairs Committee of the Danish Parliament met Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Tuesday.
