ANKARA - Final bargaining talks to privatize Tercan, Kuzgun, Mercan, Ikizdere, Cildir, Beykoy and Atakoy hydroelectric power plants, Denizli geothermal power plant, and Engil Gas Turbines started in Ankara on Wednesday.
Presiding the tender commission, Ahmet Aksu, Vice-President of the Turkish Privatization Authority, underlined the importance of the tender for Turkish energy sector.
A total of 27 companies submitted their first closed bids at the tender; the highest offer being 312 million USD.
Well-known Turkish companies such as Calik Enerji A.S., Aksa Enerji A.S., Turkerler A.S., Kiler Alisveris A.S. and Ozaltin A.S. participated in the tender, sources said.
