Statistics Authority Completes Work On National Income Update

ANKARA - Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) said Wednesday that it had completed works on updating the country's national accounts system.
The update has chosen "1997" as the base year to calculate changes in national income and included new areas of economic activities in gross domestic product.
TUIK said it would announce the updated figures pertaining to the period between 1998 and the third quarter of 2007, on March 8th.
