Unctad Conference Workshop In Cesme

CESME - A workshop to prepare the 12th UN Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) was held in Cesme, Izmir, on Wednesday.
The 12th UNCTAD meeting will take place in Ghana from April 20th to 25th.
Turkish MFA Undersecretary Ertugrul Apakan expressed pleasure to host such an important workshop in Izmir which is also a candidate city to host EXPO 2015.
Apakan recalled that Turkey declared 2005 as "Year of African Culture", and said that from that date on, Turkey boosted its relations and commerce with African countries.
Noting that Turkey provides various facilities to underdeveloped countries in trade without quota and tax, Apakan said the government encourages private sector companies to invest in Africa.
On the other hand, EXPO 2015 SG Tunc Soyer made a presentation to participants about Izmir's candidacy .
