WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, former commander of Multinational Corps Iraq, said Tuesday that pressure must be put on terrorist organization PKK to force them to sit down at negotiation table. However, Lt. Gen. Odierno's remarks contradict Washington's policy of not talking to terrorists.
In a press briefing held at the Pentagon, Lt. Gen. Odierno affirmed that communication and coordination between U.S., Turkey and Iraq improved.
Solution to the problem in north of Iraq is not a military one, Lt. Gen. Odierno also claimed.
