Turkish General Staff On Remarks Targeting Armed Forces

ANKARA - Turkish General Staff issued a statement on Tuesday, qualifying a number of recent remarks targeting Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) as "unfair and worthless attacks."
"Remarks --which were made by circles other than the press-- target an institution that fights terrorism and gives martyrs, and these remarks are unfair and worthless attacks," the statement said.
"TSK has always avoided engaging in polemics with political figures and institutions, and for the first time in its 24 years of struggle against terrorism, TSK is tried to be made a target for such meaningless attacks. These attacks do more harm to TSK's commitment to fight against terrorism than traitors do."
