I Don't Believe Turkish Armed Forces Did Not Have Strength To Stay Longer In North Of Iraq, Baykal

ANKARA - Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Deniz Baykal said Tuesday he did not believe the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) had not had the strength to stay longer in north of Iraq.
Speaking at a group meeting of the CHP in the parliament, Baykal noted that "according to my calculations, the TSK had to finish the task in north of Iraq as there were suitable conditions."
"I do not believe that the TSK could continue an operation for only eight days," Baykal said.
"The question as to why the TSK ended its ground operation on the eighth day is still open, especially when you consider that the operation was continuing successfully," Baykal also said.
Turkey launched a ground operation against terrorist organization PKK in north of Iraq on February 21st and ended the operation on February 29th. 240 PKK terrorists were killed while 24 Turkish soldiers were martyred and 3 village guards were killed in the ground operation.
