LEFKOSA - Hasan Ercakica, spokesman for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Presidency, said Tuesday President Mehmet Ali Talat of TRNC and Greek Cypriot administration leader Demetris Christofias would meet in March.
During his weekly press briefing, Ercakica said Michael Moeller, special representative of the U.N. Secretary General and United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) chief of mission, held talks with Talat on Tuesday and afterwards it was decided that Talat-Christofias meeting shall take place in March.

Ercakica commented on Christofias` remarks that "he was ready for a solution if Turkey was ready as well".
"He (Christofias) sometimes states that Turkey is the party hindering the solution in Cyprus. It is a quite wrong stance. If you define the problem wrong, you cannot find any solution. I do not want to make any warnings in advance, but Mr. Christofias`s addressee is Mr. Talat," Ercakica said.
He also said Christofias`s remarks targeted the Greek Cypriot public and domestic politics.
Moreover, Ercakica said Talat, accompanied by a delegation, would arrive in capital Ankara to hold a series of high-level talks on Thursday.
Commenting on the change of leadership in the Greek Cypriot part of the island, Ercakica said, "we need to see positive political developments in the Greek Cypriot party`s position that will be created by such change".
Ercakica said he believed those developments would take place after the meeting between Talat and Christofias.
