ISTANBUL - Turkish durable house goods manufacturer "Arcelik" is the only Turkish company among the top 500 companies in international trademark filings league.
According to the list made public by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Arcelik became the 101st company that made the record number of international trademark filings.
In the previous list, Arcelik was ranked the 136th. Arcelik made 143 international applications in 2007.
Top ten companies in the list are Matsushita Electric, Koninklijke Philips Electronics, Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, Huawei Technologies, Robert Bosch GMBH, Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Qualcomm Incorporated, Microsoft Corporation, Motorola, Nokia Corporation, BASF Aktiengesellschaft.
