BEIRUT - Sada Cumber, the Special Representative of the United States for the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), will pay a visit to OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Wednesday.
This first visit of Cumber will take place in Jeddah prior to the OIC summit scheduled for March 13th-14th in Dakar.
SG Ihsanoglu is expected to inform the special representative on the views and expectations of the Islamic world on Middle East problem and relations between Islam and the West.
Sources said Cumber was appointed to this mission as an expression of the will for dialogue based on respect to the Muslim communities.
Sada Cumber, a Muslim businessman from Texas, migrated from Pakistan in 1978 and got U.S. citizenship 22 years ago.
