PARIS - Worldwide acknowledged Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say gave a concert in French capital of Paris to extend support to Turkish western province of Izmir's candidacy to host EXPO 2015.
140 members of Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE) as well as many other guests enjoyed performance of Say at Champs-Elysees theatre in Paris.
Say performed compositions of Mozart and he was also accompanied by Moldovan violinist Patricia Kopatchinskajan in the concert.
Prior to the concert, Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu informed participants about the preparations for EXPO 2015.
On March 31st, BIE members will chose either Izmir or Italian city Milan to host EXPO 2015.
Izmir's theme for EXPO 2015 is "Health For All". If Izmir hosts the event, more than 50 million tourists are expected to visit.
