Turkish Industrial Production Increases By 10.6 Percent In First Quarter Of 2004

ANKARA - Turkish industrial production increased by 10.6 percent in the first quarter of 2004.
Turkish State Institute of Statistics announced on Tuesday that industrial production decreased by 1.8 percent in public sector while it increased by 14.6 percent in private sector in the first three months of 2004. Industrial production increased by 10.6 percent in total.
Manufacture industry increased by 12 percent while production in electricity, gas and water sector increased by 6.5 percent in the same period.
