Tuik Announces Inflation Figures

ANKARA - Turkish Board of Statistics (TUIK) said Monday consumer prices rose 1.29 percent and producer prices climbed 2.56 percent in February 2008.
TUIK announced inflation figures and said annual inflation was 9.1 in consumer prices (CPI) and 8.15 in producer prices (PI) in February 2008.
Thus, the annual inflation in CPI in February 2008 was 1.06 points above February 2007 and the inflation in PI in February 2008 was 1.98 points above the same month of 2007.
