IZMIR - Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul deputy Ilhan Kesici said on Saturday that it is necessary to encourage businessmen and industrialists.
Kesici attended a meeting on assessment of developments in Turkish and world economy which was held by Aegean Industrialists & Businessmen Association in Izmir.
Kesici noted that burden on employment should be decreased, adding that deficiencies of market economy should be eliminated.
He said that social policies should be fixed in economy policies, adding that it is also necessary to encourage businessmen and industrialists.
Kesici said that growth in Turkey is 6.5 percent, adding that export figures exceeded 100 billion USD but foreign trade deficit is more than half of this rate.
Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu also attended the meeting.
