ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - US President, George W. Bush met yesterday with religious leaders in Istanbul.
Bush met with the Director of Turkish Religious Affairs, Ali Bardakoglu, the Istanbul Mufti, Mustafa Cagrici, the Istanbul Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarch, Bartholomeos, Armenian Patriarch Mutafyan, the Chief Rabbi of the Turkish Jewish Community Rav Ishak Haleva and Archbishop of the Old Assyrian Church Yusuf Çetin on Sunday in the Istanbul Hilton Hotel.
President Bush said that meeting with leaders who have difference religious belief was very meaningful. US Secretary of State, Colin Powell and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice and the US ambassador to Ankara Eric Edelman attended the meeting with Bush.
